Slimming World Weigh-In: Week 1

So it was the first weigh-in of 2016 for me.

I had been relatively good this week mostly sticking to plan and traipsing to the gym three times. Although I sadly realised my social life was well and truly over when I found myself in there on a Friday night!

I did however have one take-out in the week and a grab-and-go Burger King lunch on Saturday whilst out shopping, so I wasn’t food optimising 100% of the time. Although in my defence I did order a regular sized meal with a water as opposed to my usual large and a Coke…baby steps...

  • Weight Loss This Week: 4.5lb
  • Target Loss For Next Week: 2.5lbs
  • Favourite Slimming World Meal Made: Rosemary lamb steaks on ratatouille (from the most recent SW magazine) 
  • Learn Anything New?: Sweet Freedom for porridge is a Slimming World sweetening godsend

This week I’m aiming to get the 2.5lb off that I need to get my first shiny sticker; the half stone award. I’ve meal planned for this week so will hopefully avoid any take-away shaped diversions. 

I am however out over the weekend for a friends birthday, where the restaurant menu fails with any remotely Slimming World friendly offerings. Donut burger anyone?! 

I’ve come to the conclusion that occasions like these happen in life, I want to loose weight in a maintainable way but still have fun, go out and have the occasional treat - besides, no one likes the fussy eating, dieting bore do they?

So I’ve made the decision I'm going to enjoy it in all it’s heart clogging glory, draw a line under it afterwards and perhaps work a little harder in the gym the following day.
