Boxing Day/January Sales Haul!
Having done a new year clear out and offloaded some of my old wears to the local charity shop there was space in my wardrobe that I've been itching to fill!
Having shopped online & hit the High Street for the Boxing day/January sales, I managed to pick up a few bargains. Here's what I bought...
I'm a massive fan of anything boho, it's looks so effortless and never dates. I love my summer festivals and find these fringy throw overs perfect to jazz up comfy vest and shorts festival staples.
Knowing I'll get lots of wear out of this at Lovebox this year and beyond I justified buying it in beige too! Aside from the tasselling, it has pretty intricate beading and embroidery too. Both were from River Island knocked down to £15.
Sticking with River Island throw overs I love this silky floral kimono which was also £15
...and this denim tie-dye offering was further reduced at just £10
I am always on the look out for basics with a higher neck for the gym. This Rihanna for River Island modesty covering top was just £5! I won't feel so guilty about using it for working out.
I bought this oversized coral fluffy top for just £10 - I'm confident this is current season stock!
I ordered this salmon jacket online with SS14 in mind, what with cool corals being big for next season but it's huge! I think it's boxy shape from River Island is intentional but unfortunately not particularly flattering, It was £20.
I bought this tapestry blazer from the River Island flagship for £15, I actually think this was last winters stock. I don't mind though as I love it's autumnal look!
I bought this pink textured ribbed top online for £7. Again it's on the big side, but fortunately still wearable without looking ridiculous - perhaps why it made it to the sale?
I also ordered this fridge cape from RiverIsland.com for £12, it's one of those things I love but never know when i'll have the opportunity to wear it. At least I know I have it in my wardrobe just in case huh!?
In Primark I found this lovely kimono dumped on a rail where it shouldn't have been. It was the only one I could find and was only £7 down from £15 - I don't have much navy so it's a welcomed addition to jazz up some dark jeans in the spring!
I also came across this cobalt blue coat, I had walked passed it on a few occasions in Primark but the red sale sticker this time caused me to stop. £15 from £25 - and it looks far better on than on the hanger. Very pleased with this purchase!
In Topshop I picked up a few jewellery bits - this aqua beetle mini statement chain for just £4
& this collar brooch, which will jazz up a boring shirt when I'm having a lazy day!
I ordered a few sale treats from Lush (you always have to get in quick online!) To my surprise everything still has really good dates too! I'll do individual reviews of the products soon.
Boot.com sold out of anything I was interested in, so I logged off with the hump! A few days later I went into my local High Street branch which is predominately just a pharmacy. I managed to find 3 Soap & Glory gift sets half price which were all sold out online.
I bought You Do The Bath £8, Once Upon A Lime £9 & the Hand Food hand wash & cream £5 - dead chuffed with these finds!
Finally, just a quick mention of my Marvel fan fiance Jamie & his Iron Man jimmy jam bottoms (£7) & dressing gown from New Look (£10) - he very nearly spent £45 on the same gown in a gadget shop before Christmas. I'm sure Tony Stark would approve!
Did you manage to sniff out any bargains in the sales this year? xx
