PVA Glue: The New Must Have Beauty Product?!

If you thought PVA glue belonged in junior school only suitable for making pasta shell portraits of family members or sticking tissue paper on an Elmer The Elephant collage (here) then you, my friend, are wrong!

I've fallen out with my nose recently - well not my nose per se but the 'orrible stubbon black head that has predominately sat on it's tip for the best part of three weeks.

I've tried every lotion and potion: from high street to high end, plus an array of pricy pore strips which did absolutely nothing. Sigh.

Just when I was about to scar myself for life with a V̶i̶c̶t̶o̶r̶i̶a̶n̶ ̶l̶o̶o̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶r̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶r̶u̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ picking tool I decided to have a Google and see what else was recommended...
...Errr...PVA glue!?

On accepting that I had not in fact stumbled upon the Art Attack website in error and this glue tip was actually 'a thing' - I decided to give it a wizz.

I had previously bought a large pot of glue from the Poundshop during one of my short lived crafty hobbies. I showered to open my pores then applied the PVA glue liberally across my nose (whilst forgiving my boyfriend for looking at me with a raised eyebrow.)

I waited around 10 minutes for it to dry then it was time for the fun part. Peel, peel, PEEL!

I carefully removed my DIY pore excavator in one clean swoop, lifting all the yucky gunk off my nose with it.

It worked well and I was left with super soft skin. Who'd have thought!

Of course PVA glue doesn't state on the packaging that it's recommended for your face but it also doesn't say not to use the child friendly adhesive as a beauty blemish banisher either!

I should state, of course, that if you're allergic to give it a wide birth and perhaps do a patch test first just in case.

It worked for me and having only cost a quid for a generous sized pot it's definitely cheaper than the la-de-darr blackhead removers adorning the shelves of Boots, which in my experience have been pore(!) (boom boom!)

It's worth moisturising after use as it's slightly drying. Oh ...and stay away from little children clutching pasta shells and tissue paper!

Have you got any unconventional beauty tips!? I'd love to hear them!
