Something different: Horses die but money and greed is alive and well...

A little bit of a different post from the norm from me today. I just wanted to highlight a post I wrote last year regarding the John Smith's Grand National which is taking place at Aintree today...especially if you haven't really thought about it before or are planning on having a little wager....

Click here to have a read. I'd love to know your thoughts xx

  1. I'm not a massive fan of horses, but I don't agree with horse racing or any other animal racing for that matter. I understand there's horses and dogs out there that are bred for racing but they get pushed beyond they're ability. I hate seeing the horses get whipped.
But I'm the sort of girl who cares more about horses and other animals being hurt and killed in movies then I do about the main actors. I dislike how people look at animals as 'animals'. They all need caring for just as much as humans. X

  2. beautiful photo of a horse. you have a nice blog! mind to check out my blog? maybe we can follow each other :)

  3. I've just read your past post and totally agree. I just don't get it at all. I don't understand why people would want to go there and watch it, bet on it or give it any positive press.
Like the above comment from Amy I'm not a huge fan of horses either but I think they deserve not to be treated in such a inhumane way. It surprises me that people I know who are supposed to horse lovers actually go and bet on it unbelievable.

  4. I'm not a fan of horse racing or any exploitation of animals, as I feel they deserve as much, if not more, respect than humans do. I went vegetarian for eight months last year, and would do it again in a heartbeat because of my feelings towards animals. x
