Barry M - Textured Nail Effects Nail Paints

Best nail polish brand on the High Street? In my opinion that crown belongs to Barry M.

After just two coats you're left with a picture perfect manicure and an impressive professional finish - even if your hand eye coordination is as terrible as mine! The fact you get at least 4-6 days wear without it chipping is a major plus for me, especially in comparison to higher end brands that never last as long.

Barry M effect polishes retail at a really affordable £3.99. A product that does its job well at such a great price point is always going to commanded rave reviews from fashion and beauty bloggers alike - and well deserved it is too!

Another plus is the brands ability to quickly act on the ever changing nail trends and get a similar product on the shelves of Boots and Superdrug before we've even planned our next payday spend.

The most recent example of this is the gorgeous textured nail paints available in four shades for Spring Summer; Atlantic Road, Ridley Road, Kingsland Road and Station Road. I bought three of them last weekend (Atlantic Road was already out of stock - sob sob!) and I am mightily impressed with the results.

Gone are the days when replicating a celeb's red carpet nails require a 3 hour trip to the nail bar. These paints give your nails grit, with a subtly texturised matte finish. The paint was easy to apply, quick drying and after just two coats the desired effect was achieved. Simple!

I've now had the Ridley Road polish on since Saturday and the application looks just as good today as it did 4 days ago.

So, another Barry M (perfectly polished) thumbs up from me.

Will you be investing in the Barry M textured nail paints? Whats your favourite polish brand?

  4. Love the colour, just not sure that I could deal with the textured look. It stresses me out when my nail polish has air bubbles or ridges so I'm not sure they're for me!
